It’s my first time at IVA Berlin
Then we welcome you invite you to just join in!
If you are an absolute novice at equipment such as poles, air ring, trapezoid or aerial silks, then we recommend you visit one of our monthly First Timer courses for only 15,00 €. Here you can try out and see if you like it. First timers take place every first Saturday of the month.
Furthermore, we regularly offer so-called Absolute Beginner Specials, in which you can learn basic techniques such as climbing etc.
If you already have air travel, you can go directly into one of our current courses. The Level Beginner, Beginner / Intermediate, Intermediate or Advanced can be determined by yourself. We advise you to stack something deep in the first time.
As you book courses, you will find the FAQ “How to book a course” here.
Who can join?
Everybody older than 15 years can participate! You do not have to be professionals, nor have any other sports skills to attend our courses. We are looking forward to everyone with whom we can share our passion for pole dancing, acrobatics, aerial acrobatics and stretching. Through our extra small groups, we can tailor the training individually to the individual participants and thus also every beginner will progress quickly.
Do your teachers speak english?
Our teachers are from circus schools all over the world. All of them speak english, some are even native english speakers. We also have teachers that can teach in spain or russian. So don’t worry if you don’t understand something explained, just let them know, they will be glad to help you.

What can I do, if a class is sold out?
If all courses in a course are assigned, you can place yourself via the App “Eversports” on the waiting list.
The app for the iPhone can be found here, for Android here. Just log in with the data registered with us (please make sure not to create a new account, so that your purchased products are not lost). Then enter in the search function “IVA Berlin” and click on the heart. Now you can book, view or change your courses. Also, new products can be purchased with the app.
There is a waiting list for every booked-out course; if a spot gets available, you will receive a push notification and can book the course. Make sure to allow the push notifications in the app, so you’ll be instantly informed when someone is leaving, then the first-come-first-serve principle applies.
How can I pay?
At our “Timetable” you have the possibility to buy drop in classes or 5 to 10 times cards. With PayPal, you simply follow the payment request, where you can either pay with your PayPal credit, bank deposit or credit card. For the direct debit process, you submit your account details and accept our terms and conditions, as well as the Sepa direct debit mandate. Please pay attention to correctly entered data and a covered account, as we charge 15 € for reimbursement.
Contracts can be paid by direct debit or bank transfer. To pay by transfer, please write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us exactly which contract you want. We will send you a payment request, which you can pay by bank transfer.
Can I pay in cash when I get there?
Our classes are kept very small and we are keen to keep prices at its minimum, which means we are dependent on every participant paying and booking their class in advance.
If you decide to take a class last minute and there is still availability up to two hours before, you can come and pay in cash at reception or with the trainer. Be aware that if someone books a space online last minute, or the class is cancelled, you could turn up and not be able to take part.
We definitely recommend booking via our online booking system, just so you can be sure you’re booked in and you’ll be informed of any last minute changes as well.
Can I change/ cancel my booking?
As our classes are very small and we need to keep them full to offer the best prices we accept changes of bookings only until 24 hours before a class starts. You can cancel your booking at our timetable and you will get your credit back. After that we cannot refund the fee or change your schedule.
What are cards?
You can buy points with up to 10% discount in our course, with which you can participate in 5 or 10 courses. These are either Basic or Premium cards. With Basic Credits you can participate in all basic courses, with Premium Credits at all regular courses in the timetable.
Apply with the acquired credits as early as possible into the appropriate courses to secure your place. As you book courses, you will find the FAQ “How to book a course” here.
Please note that the credits are only valid for 6 months. This means you have to use up your credit during this time, otherwise it will expire.
How Contracts work
Our contracts have a minimum term of 6 months and are extended by 3 months each, unless terminated one month in advance. Depending on the contract you have the opportunity to attend 13 – 39 courses in the quarter, corresponding to 1-3 courses / week. Unused credits expire at the end of the 3 months. For all premium contracts there is also the possibility to use the free training 13 times in the quarter free of charge. Additional credits you get for 8 €, or 60 € as a 10th card.
With a Basic contract you can take part in all our Basic courses, with the Premium contracts on all regular courses, also Basic. Even with contracts you have the opportunity to cancel up to 24 hours in advance and book another course instead. Since our courses are very small, please make sure before concluding a contract, if there are still enough places in your desired course and sign up in time. If you always want to book the same course (s), write us a short email with your choice of course and we will sign you up for the duration of your contract for each week. Of course, you can still cancel / cancel within the time limit, should anything get in the way.
In the event of sickness-related absenteeism lasting more than 4 weeks, the contract can be paused for the duration of the illness, provided that we have a medical certificate at the latest 2 days after the issue.
If you can not come for less than 4 weeks, you have the possibility to book courses before or later in the 3 months.
What Pole class is best for me?
To get started, we recommend our First Timer Pole Course or the Absolute Beginner Special. If you already have enough previous knowledge, you can also enter an advanced course right away. Our trainers will be happy to help you with the choice of courses.
What Aerial class is best for me?
If you are an absolute novice and have never made aerial sports like Aerial Silks, Trapezes or Aerial Hoop, it is best to visit our First Timer for only 15 €. First timer for all devices takes place every first Saturday of the month.
For Aerial Silks, there are so-called Absolute Beginner Specials. There you will learn to climb climbing, first figures and decay.
If you already have air travel, you can go directly into one of our current courses. The Level Beginner, Beginner / Intermediate, Intermediate or Advanced can be determined by yourself.
What should I wear?
For Pole Dance:
You’ll need to be able to grip your legs and arms on the pole, which is why we recommend you to wear shorts and a tight-fitting sleeveless T-shirt you’ll feel comfortable in. Feel free to bring some long leggings over the top for the warm up.
For Aerial Classes:
We recommend you to wear long leggings and a tight-fitting long-sleeved shirt. It’s important that your skin is covered, so you won’t burn it with the silks. You also don’t want to wear something that will cover your face when you go upside down.
For our Stretching Classes:
Wear something stretchy that’ll keep your back and legs warm.
What about the Levels?
Level 0: First Timer, Absolute Beginner, Stretching
In our first timers on every first Saturday of the month you can try out any Disziplin and see if you enjoy training. There are no requirements for First Timer.
The Absolute Beginner level is available for Aerial Silks and Pole Dance. In this course you will learn basics like climbing and foot knots. So, if you’ve never been to the cloth, or the Pole, and plan on joining one of our courses, we kindly ask you to book an Absolute Beginner Special. There are no requirements for this special.
The stretching course is the best way to start the contortion courses, where you can learn how to warm up properly and slowly get used to difficult stretching techniques.
Level 1: Beginner
The Level Beginner is available in all disciplines in the IVA and is the suitable beginner level for all equipment except Aerial Silks (see above). It is an advantage if you have previously visited a first timer (see above), but not absolutely necessary. The beginner course will teach you basic figures and techniques, such as Aerial Inverts taught and trained strength and flexibility.
With Silks, the level beginner assumes that you can already climb and do foot knots. You’ll learn that and much more in the Aerial Silks Absolute Beginner Special.
Level 2: Beginner/Intermediate
The level Beginner / Intermediate is not suitable for beginners! It requires the knowledge of the basic figures and techniques on the individual devices and, of course, the ability to execute them. Example Aerial Invert in the air should not cause any problems with your device! In Beginner / Intermediate, first sequences and smaller choreographies are trained and strength and flexibility are further developed.
Level 3: Intermediate
For the Intermediate level, you should have trained for at least 1 year on your particular device or have received a trainer recommendation *. It requires the power, flexibility and stamina you need to create a choreography on your device.
Level 4: Intermediate/Advanced
For the Intermediate / Advanced level, you should have trained for at least 2 years on your particular device or have received a coach recommendation *. You work on advanced tricks and combinations and we will support your own style.
Level 5: Advanced (only with coach recommendation)
For the level Advanced you need a coach recommendation *.
All Level: (not for absolute Beginner)
Here you can develop individual wish tricks with your trainer. But you should be in a position to be able to train independently according to the instructions.
* A coach’s recommendation is that one of our IVA coaches suggested you attend a higher level.
What and for who is "freies Training"?
Our free training is for contract members only. In addition to your quota of free training, you can buy 10 cards for 60 €, these are valid for 6 months and available at the desk
